Contract Rider

Susie Luchsinger
Contract Rider

This contract rider is to provide you with information that should be used as a guideline when bringing Susie to your area. We understand that each situation is different and some of these items may not pertain to you. If you have any questions about the information contained in this rider, or need further suggestions on promoting Susie’s appearance, please call her office at (580) 889-5219; fax (580) 889-5412 or email us at info@susieluchsinger.com

Venue Arrangements

Merchandising

Susie will be bringing CDs, tapes, videos, photos, etc. to make available to the people. We would appreciate having two trustworthy, responsible and personable individuals, 18 years of age or older, available to help sell the products. They should arrive 1 hour prior to concert time to receive their instructions and to acquaint themselves with product and prices. One of the helpers needs to remain at the table at all times.

Product will be made available before the concert and immediately following the concert. Product will not be sold during the concert. One, 6’ tables is requested to display the product. A smaller table placed between the door and the product table is requested for Susie to sit at and sign autographs after her performance. Susie will supply her own change and inventory sheets.

Dressing Room

A dressing room that is well lit, clean, has an electrical outlet, and has an adjoining washroom facility is requested. Please make certain that the dressing room can be secured, as Susie will be leaving her belongings in there during the appearance. If the hotel room is close, a dressing room may not be needed. If a meal has to be provided, a small assortment of fresh fruit and a small deli tray with bottled water provided in the dressing room would be appreciated.

Transportation

Susie often travels by car. If arrival is by ground transportation, please provide a physical address with accurate directions and a map of your area.

If Susie arrives by air, we have learned that it speeds up departure and is less hectic if you meet them outside the baggage claim area. We also request a phone number of the person who will be picking her up, so if there is a change of plans or a delay, she can contact that person.

Sound Check

If the sound system is to be set-up, the sound personnel should be there five hours prior to the appearance to set up and check the equipment. If Susie is bringing her own equipment, we request that someone familiar with the venue meet her there approximately 2 hours prior to the performance to help her set up. Susie would like a sound check 1 1/2 hours prior to her appearance time. We request that only individuals connected directly with the sound check and appearance promotion be allowed in during this time. This will create less confusion and speed up the sound check process.

Travel Accommodations & Meals

Travel Expense

If Susie is traveling by air, her office will make reservations. The schedule and invoice of the flights will be forwarded to you. You will be responsible for payment of airfare, parking of Susie’s vehicle at the airport, and fuel to and from the airport (240 miles).

If Susie is traveling by ground, mileage and fuel costs will be billed to you. You may call the office at (580) 889-5219 for more information.

Air Departure

Susie needs to arrive at the airport 1 hour prior to her scheduled departure.

Hotel Accommodations

A guarantee of payment for the room, tax and meals should be pre-arranged before Susie checks in to the hotel. If there are telephone and movie charges, they will be paid separately by Susie. Please make sure the room is a non-smoking room. A hotel with room service or a connecting restaurant would be appreciated. As an alternative to a traditional hotel, Susie is willing to stay in a private residence. Please forward all hotel information to Susie's office either by telephone, fax, or e-mail two weeks prior to the appearance date.

Meals

This depends entirely on time of arrival and convenience of all – Susie is very flexible, but loves to eat and fellowship with those who have worked so hard putting on the concert! Should she arrive close to noon, it would be wonderful to have a sit-down lunch at a family style restaurant at or near the hotel. If schedules do not permit this, Susie will be happy to eat a late lunch or dinner at the auditorium. (Please see “B” under Dressing Room, page one.) You do not have to provide a deli-tray if she has eaten already!

Technical Requirements

The information below is provided as a guideline to assist you in securing the best possible sound. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Some venues are equipped with a ceiling speaker system designed for SPEAKING rather than for musical events. If this is the case, it is requested that you obtain a separate sound system for the concert so that the audience attending will have an enjoyable listening experience.

Mixing Console

Must have a minimum of eight channels with one monitor send and one effects send. Monitor bus should be “Pre-Fader”. (The system should be, at minimum, comparable to a PV 600 C.)

Monitors

Must have at least one matching wedge-type floor monitor cabinet consisting of, preferably, one 15” speaker and one 2” horn.

Power Amps

Please supply adequate power with at least 400 watts. This assures safety and efficiency.

Monitor Power Amps

Monitor amps must supply required wattage of 100 watts per side.

Microphones

Please provide one hand held Telex or PV cordless microphone with clip and stand or a SM58 Shure microphone (or one comparable) at center stage.

Speakers

The speakers and amplifiers must be, at minimum, PV SP2 or an equivalent.

Digital Reverb

Unit must be comparable to a Yamaha Rev-7 or better.

Graphic Equalizer

Two equalizers, one for house speakers and one for monitors, is requested. Equalizers should be placed at the console and accessible by the mixing engineer.

Spotlight

One follow spot for better communication is appreciated. The stage should be lit fully with house lights dimmed or off. Color lighting is not required, but is preferred if available.

Compact Disc Player

A five-disc CD player is requested for playback of tracks.

**Susie has a sound system she can provide if not traveling by air. If that is the case, please make sure there are men there willing and able to help set up and tear down the system. For more information, call Susie's office at (580) 889-5219.

**These are comparable guidelines. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at (580) 889-5219.
